Let’s get started

A cheerful frog giving a thumbs up

I’ve been thinking about launching a personal website as a way to stay organized, motivated, and on top of everything I’m into.

Over the past year I’ve really started to understand what makes me tick. It turns out I’m at my best when I’m juggling several things at once, backed by automation and a few handy digital tools. Give me one task and I struggle to focus; give me five and suddenly I thrive. Digging a little deeper, this lines up neatly with the Pareto principle — the 80/20 rule — which says that 80% of results come from 20% of the effort.

Interestingly, spreading about 20% of my time and energy across several tasks often gets better results than forcing 100% into a single one. Working this way, I’ve become much more efficient in short bursts.

This website is my way of bringing all of that into one place: drawings, photography, gaming, work projects and study notes. Seeing it all together, I’m hoping to get even more done — and to notice a few new things along the way.

So, let’s see how it goes!
